1Project Overview
XU Studio designed Wanhua Green Heart Food Market and Yunlang Canteen for the Luhu residential community in Chongqing. The project centers around three intertwined experiences: the warmth of everyday life, the comfort of coming home, and the relaxed pace of a getaway. The design aims to provide essential commercial infrastructure for the community.
2Architectural Details
The project's exterior features layered 'cloud' eaves, creating both solid and void spaces. This design offers outdoor seating areas surrounded by greenery. Full-height folding doors and top-hung windows can be fully opened when weather permits, allowing natural airflow between indoor and outdoor spaces.
3Interior Design
The interior of Yunlang Canteen provides a dining experience blended with sunlight and tree shadows. The space boasts a modern and minimal design, prioritizing user comfort. The open-plan design enhances social interaction.
4Landscape Design
The project's landscape design was carried out by Dongshan Plant Atelier and Hainan Liangzuo Floral & Plant Art Design. Green spaces strengthen the project's harmony with the natural environment. Planting was done with species suitable for the region's climate.
5Structural Design
The structural design of the project was undertaken by the Shanghai Qingxi Structural Design team. The structure was designed to balance both aesthetic and functional aspects. Facade lighting, designed by Bpi, highlights the space's nighttime appearance.
6Branding and Signage
The project's brand identity and signage design were realized by XU Studio and In the pot. Brand Vi. This design strengthens the space's identity and allows users to navigate the area easily.
