The Italian side recently secured a historic 9-1 victory against Lens in France, marking the largest margin of victory for an Italian club in the competition's history. This follows their impressive 4-1 win over Manchester United. ## Nico Paz's Rising Stardom Argentine midfielder Nico Paz has become the focal point of Como's attacking success. During the dominant win against Lens, Paz contributed one goal and two assists, earning a 9 rating from Corriere dello Sport. His individual brilliance has transformed the team's offensive output, making him one of the most discussed players in Europe. ## Strategic Transfer Details Como secured Nico Paz from Real Madrid last summer for a transfer fee of 60 million euros, holding his full rights until 2028. However, the contract includes a specific buy-back clause allowing Real Madrid to re-sign the player for 80 million euros in the summer of 2027, highlighting his significant long-term market value. ## Inter Milan's Persistent Interest Beyond Real Madrid's buy-back option, Inter Milan remains a primary suitor for the Argentine talent. The club has been monitoring Paz for an extended period, viewing him as the cornerstone for their future sporting projects. This competitive interest underscores the rapid escalation of Paz's profile within the elite Italian football landscape. ## Fàbregas's Tactical Vision Cesc Fàbregas has successfully implemented a project centered on youth and technical quality. The squad features notable talents like Perrone, Da Cunha, Douvikas, Baturina, Caqueret, and Milla. This collective approach has propelled Como to fourth place in Serie A, currently sitting five points behind league leaders Lazio while remaining active in the Coppa Italia. ## Recovery and Depth The squad's depth was further highlighted by the return of Matteo Papaccioli, who recently recovered from a long-term cruciate ligament injury. Papaccioli marked his comeback by scoring the ninth goal against Lens during stoppage time. This successful integration of returning players provides Fàbregas with additional tactical options for the remainder of the season. ## Maintaining Professional Humility Despite the widespread acclaim from major publications like La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fàbregas maintains a grounded perspective. Following the Lens match, he emphasized the need for humility and hard work, urging his players to focus on their upcoming domestic fixture against Inter Milan rather than dwelling on their recent European success. ## Future European Ambitions Como's performance has shifted expectations, with analysts now suggesting the club can compete with Europe's elite beyond the initial playoff stages. With their next Champions League challenge set against AEK Athens, the team aims to sustain their current momentum and prove that their recent high-scoring displays are a sustainable standard of play. ## Sources covering this story - https://as.com/futbol/internacional/nico-paz-es-el-futuro-f202611-n/ — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
