Architects Gabriela Gontijo and team made the proximity to Itapororoca Beach - accessible via a custom trail - a key determinant of the project's design. ## Architecture of Family Ties The 1,474 sqm residence was specifically sited due to its closeness to the owners' other property in the area. This choice strengthening family connections supports the project's 'roots' theme. The harmonious layout with neighboring plots is particularly noteworthy. ## Details Reflecting Local Character The architectural team drew inspiration from regional building techniques and local materials. Fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces adapt to Bahia's tropical climate, while expansive glazing offers continuous ocean vistas. ## Sustainable Luxury Developed with minimal environmental impact principles, the project features native vegetation preservation, rainwater management systems, and passive climate control solutions. Luxury living spaces meet ecological sensitivity in this innovative approach. ## Exclusive Access Privilege The custom-designed walking trail through native vegetation provides residents private beach access. This unique access solution stands out as one of the project's most remarkable features, significantly enhancing the property's value. ## An Architectural Legacy Scheduled for completion in 2025, the project showcases an architectural approach that preserves the region's natural beauty while delivering modern comfort. Bearing Studio Gontijo's signature, this work aims to set new standards in sustainable luxury residential design. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.archdaily.com/1148616/roots-house-studio-gontijo-arquitetura — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
