The festival will host events in the UK, US, and Mexico. This marks the first Ozzfest since the 2018 New Year’s Eve show at The Forum, signaling a major comeback for the legendary heavy metal brand. ## UK Venue Shift The UK leg is scheduled for July 10 at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes. Originally, Sharon Osbourne planned to hold the event at Birmingham’s Villa Park. However, ongoing construction at the stadium forced a relocation to Milton Keynes, ensuring the festival proceeds as planned rather than facing a total postponement. ## North American Dates The US edition will take place on September 11 at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. This venue holds historical significance as the site where Ozzfest originally launched in 1996. Following the US show, the festival will travel to Mexico City for its first-ever edition at Estadio GNP Seguros. ## Honoring Ozzy’s Legacy These 2027 shows represent the first Ozzfest since the passing of Ozzy Osbourne in the summer of 2025. The late frontman performed his final concert, 'Back To The Beginning,' at Villa Park just weeks before his death at age 76. Sharon Osbourne continues to curate the festival as his enduring legacy. ## Curating New Talent Sharon Osbourne remains committed to the festival's original mission of providing a platform for emerging artists. She describes the event as a 'summer camp' for new talent, similar to its early days when it provided exposure to bands like Slipknot and System Of A Down. Lineup details remain currently unannounced. ## Ticketing and Logistics Early Bat tickets for all three 2027 festival dates go on sale on Friday, November 6, at 10 a.m. local time. The events are being promoted by Live Nation. While fans await the full lineup reveal, Sharon Osbourne has promised that the roster will be shared in the coming months. ## Historical Context Conceived in 1996 after Sharon Osbourne failed to book Ozzy on Lollapalooza, Ozzfest became a defining touring festival for two decades. It previously ended its annual touring format around 2008 due to rising financial demands from agents and managers, which made the original large-scale touring model unsustainable for the organizers. ## Future Outlook The 2027 return marks a shift toward strategic, one-day festival events rather than the extensive touring circuits of the past. By focusing on iconic venues like the National Bowl and Glen Helen, the organizers aim to preserve the spirit of the original metal gathering while adapting to modern live music demands. ## Sources covering this story - [NME — Ozzfest Returns to Milton Keynes Bowl for 2027 UK Event](https://www.nme.com/news/music/ozzfest-announces-details-of-uk-return-for-2027-at-milton-keynes-bowl-3975117?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ozzfest-announces-details-of-uk-return-for-2027-at-milton-keynes-bowl) - [Billboard — Ozzfest Announces 2027 Return With Three-Date U.K./North American Run](https://www.billboard.com/music/concerts/ozzfest-2027-return-three-dates-uk-us-mexico-details-tickets-1236374758/) - [Consequence — Ozzfest Returns in 2027 with US, UK, and Mexico Festivals](https://consequence.net/2026/11/ozzfest-2027-dates/) --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
