The new Donkey Kong Arcade set is the latest product of this partnership. Comprising 1,371 pieces, the set aims to deliver a nostalgic experience for adults. ## Playable Features The set offers a working replica of the classic Donkey Kong arcade cabinet. With 21 included barrels, you can pull a lever to release them. The joystick controls Jumpman, while a button makes him jump over obstacles, mirroring the original arcade experience. ## Iconic Scene Design The set recreates the first level of the Donkey Kong arcade game with impressive detail, including the scaffold and ladders. Characters like Jumpman, the original DK, and 'Lady' (later known as Pauline) are all featured in this intricate build. ## Mechanical Details The back of the set reveals the barrel-shifting mechanism, which is as impressive as the crank-operated Pac-Man set Lego released years ago. Both visually and functionally, this set stands out as a remarkable piece of engineering and design. ## Price and Release Date Priced at $200, the Lego Donkey Kong Arcade set will launch on August 1 and is already available for pre-order. With limited production, this set follows the retirement of the Pac-Man set, making it a must-have for collectors and fans alike. ## Significance for Collectors Lego's nostalgic sets for adults have garnered significant interest among collectors. The Donkey Kong Arcade set, with its playable and displayable features, is poised to be one of the most notable releases in this series. Limited production could enhance its long-term value. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.engadget.com/2221668/lego-nintendo-collab-playable-donkey-kong-arcade-machine/ — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
