1Network Integration Details

Kraken has officially launched support for deposits and withdrawals of Global Dollar (USDG) on the Arbitrum One network. This integration allows users to move assets directly between the exchange and the layer-two blockchain. Users must ensure that the network selected during the transfer process matches the network used to send funds.

2Native Token Issuance

On Arbitrum One, USDG is issued natively by Paxos as an ERC-20 token. This approach eliminates the need for third-party bridges or waiting periods associated with canonical bridge withdrawals. By bypassing these intermediaries, the settlement process becomes more efficient, providing a direct connection between the Kraken exchange and the Arbitrum ecosystem.

3Stablecoin Asset Structure

Global Dollar is a US dollar-denominated stablecoin issued by Paxos, redeemable one-to-one for US dollars. The reserve assets backing the token are held in cash and cash equivalents within segregated accounts. This structure aims to provide transparency and security for holders, although market value fluctuations on secondary exchanges remain a possibility.

4Global Dollar Network Role

USDG serves as the core asset of the Global Dollar Network, a consortium involving various exchanges, wallets, and fintech platforms. The primary objective of this collective is to expand global access to a regulated digital dollar. Kraken participates as a member of this network to support broader digital asset infrastructure.

5Arbitrum Infrastructure Capabilities

Arbitrum One functions as a finance-native blockchain platform designed for applications, tokenization, and dedicated environments. It hosts a significant financial ecosystem on Ethereum, characterized by deep liquidity and predictable execution at scale. The platform supports a programmable economy where complex business processes and market transactions can run automatically through software.

6Operational Compliance Requirements

For businesses utilizing dedicated environments, Arbitrum offers configurable execution, fee models, and governance frameworks. These tools allow organizations to define specific operational parameters while maintaining connectivity to shared liquidity and a global settlement layer. Kraken emphasizes that geographic restrictions may apply to users accessing these specific services on the platform.

7Risk and Asset Warnings

Kraken explicitly warns that mismatched network deposits will result in the permanent loss of funds. Furthermore, while USDG is classified as a stablecoin, there is no absolute guarantee that it will maintain a stable value relative to the reference asset. Reserve adequacy for all potential redemptions is not guaranteed by the issuer.

8Future Listing Strategy

Kraken maintains a strict policy regarding future asset listings, refusing to reveal details until shortly before a formal launch. The exchange directs users to its official Listings Roadmap and social media profiles for updates. Client engagement specialists are restricted from providing information about which assets may be added to the platform.
