1Massive Monday Capital Inflow

U.S. bitcoin ETFs recorded $526.60 million in net inflows on Monday, effectively reversing the $229 million lost during the previous week. This surge highlights a sharp shift in institutional sentiment, as investors moved capital back into bitcoin products despite the broader market volatility observed across other digital asset classes during the session.

2BlackRock Dominates Market Activity

BlackRock’s IBIT fund attracted $665.16 million, marking its largest single-day inflow for 2026. This performance successfully offset an $83.63 million withdrawal from Fidelity’s FBTC and a $54.93 million exit from Grayscale’s GBTC. The fund’s ability to draw four times its previous weekly loss underscores its central role in current institutional bitcoin demand.

3Ether ETFs Face Pressure

Ether ETFs continued to struggle, recording $103.28 million in net outflows. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for the majority of this exit with $95.40 million, while Fidelity and Grayscale funds also saw minor losses. Total net assets for ether products fell to $14.77 billion, reflecting a persistent divergence between bitcoin and ether institutional interest.

4Solana and Zcash Trends

Solana ETFs marked an 11th consecutive day of outflows, with Bitwise’s BSOL and Fidelity’s FSOL shedding a combined $6.72 million. Meanwhile, Grayscale’s ZCSH fund reported a $10.45 million loss. These sustained withdrawals reinforce ongoing institutional caution regarding higher-beta crypto assets, as investors prioritize established bitcoin exposure over alternative altcoin market positions.

5NEAR Defies Market Trend

While most altcoin-linked products faced selling pressure, Bitwise’s NRR fund for NEAR attracted $5.42 million in new capital. This inflow pushed the fund’s net assets to $86.95 million, positioning it as a rare outlier against the prevailing market trend. XRP and HYPE ETFs remained stagnant, recording no net flows during the session.

6New Managed Protection Filing

BlackRock filed for the iShares Bitcoin Managed Protection ETF, proposed under the ticker PBIT. This actively managed fund intends to utilize options linked to IBIT to provide investors with capped upside exposure and downside protection. The filing coincides with IBIT’s strongest session of the year, signaling a strategic expansion of bitcoin access.

7Institutional Reallocation Dynamics

The current flow gap suggests that institutional investors are becoming increasingly deliberate about where they rebuild exposure following October’s risk reduction. With bitcoin trading value reaching $2.09 billion and net assets closing at $105.46 billion, the market is closely watching whether this surge represents a broader allocation wave or an isolated event.

8Market Outlook and Precedents

Market commentator Luke Martin noted that similar large inflows previously preceded strong bitcoin advances in August. While past performance does not guarantee future results, the concentration of demand indicates that institutional participants are currently favoring bitcoin over other digital assets. The coming sessions will determine if this momentum sustains throughout the week.
