Woven jewellery box design for Tiffany & Co in São Paulo
Estúdio Campana crafts textured facade for pop-up store experience.
1Textured brand experience
Estúdio Campana designed a Tiffany & Co pop-up at São Paulo's JK Iguatemi Mall. The facade features undulating wicker weaving in the brand's signature blue with tan accents. This 'woven jewellery box' concept invites visitors into the brand's dreamlike universe. At the entrance, an illuminated logo stands out against beige stone, creating a striking first impression.
2Continuation of collaboration
The project builds on the studio's 2023 flagship store design for Tiffany in another Iguatemi mall. Humberto Campana explains they reinterpreted the original concept in a more intimate format. Interior spaces predominantly use beige tones to make the iconic blue elements pop, maintaining brand consistency while offering fresh interpretation.
3Architectural details
The arched entrance features folded blue wicker layers concealing cove lighting. This facade treatment repeats at the semi-private consultation area. Swirling blue patterns adorn mirror frames and customer chairs. Glass display cases rest on metal-framed bases against tambour paneling, blending modern and artisanal elements.
4Custom furniture pieces
The studio created a chair and two mirrors from its Sushi Collection for the store. They also designed synthetic-wicker stools with handwoven details matching the facade. These bespoke elements merge Tiffany's luxury aesthetic with Campana's organic design language, offering unique brand touchpoints.
5Tiffany's global design strategy
Tiffany & Co has partnered with starchitects like MVRDV and Jun Aoki for store redesigns worldwide. Beijing's flagship features a glass veil, while Tokyo's Ginza store uses curved glass panels. Campana's wicker facade represents another innovative approach in this series of architectural collaborations.
6Estúdio Campana's journey
Humberto Campana co-founded the studio with his late brother Fernando in 1984. In 2024, he debuted his first post-Fernando collection at New York's Friedman Benda. The studio recently created a park near São Paulo featuring pavilions with live plants on their grandfather's former farmland.
7Material significance
The wicker weaving combines natural craftsmanship with luxury, aligning with Tiffany's jewelry heritage. Horizontal tan streaks create movement against the blue background. Neutral wall and carpet tones provide warmth while highlighting bold blue brand elements, achieving balanced visual storytelling.
8Architecture as brand identity
This project exemplifies how luxury brands collaborate with designers to create memorable physical experiences. Campana's organic textures successfully merge with Tiffany's refined aesthetic, translating brand values into spatial design that resonates emotionally with visitors.
