JetBrains Unveils 2026–2027 STEM Programs for School Students Across Europe
New coding clubs, regional competitions, and intensive camps target pre-university tech education.
1Expanded Pre-University Tech Outreach
JetBrains has detailed its educational roadmap for the 2026–2027 academic year. The initiative targets school students across Europe with specialized tracks in mathematics, programming, and artificial intelligence. The offerings combine free virtual clubs, regional in-person contests, and selective multi-day training camps designed for skill acceleration.
2Foundational Math and AI Clubs
Registration for the Youth Math Club and Youth AI Club runs until October 31. The math cohort emphasizes pattern recognition and problem-solving logic. Meanwhile, the AI curriculum engages participants in building machine learning models and training neural networks, connecting theoretical mathematics with applied software engineering fundamentals.
3Step-By-Step Coding Club Launch
Starting October 22, the Youth Coding Club provides an environment focused on algorithmic efficiency and structured problem-solving. School students work through practical assignments to sharpen their core engineering competencies. The club acts as an entry point for beginners and intermediate coders seeking structured peer learning.
4Multi-Country Coding Cups Rollout
This autumn, JetBrains expands its in-person Coding Cups to Cyprus, Poland, and Serbia for participants aged 13 to 19. Events are scheduled for October 17 in Cyprus, October 24 in Poland, and November 14 in Serbia, offering localized competitive arenas for junior developers.
5Cyprus Challenge Returns for Edition Four
The Cyprus Programming Challenge returns on November 8, 2026, marking its fourth consecutive iteration. Open to both middle and high school students across all proficiency levels, the contest serves as a regional benchmark, helping local participants gain structured competitive programming experience under standard evaluation constraints.
6Two-Tiered Youth Coding Challenge
Scheduled for November 29, 2026, the Youth Coding Challenge introduces two distinct competitive leagues. The Junior League for ages 13 to 15 unlocks spring in-person mentorship opportunities. The Senior League for ages 16 to 19 serves as an official qualifier for the upcoming ACTS 2027.1 camp.
7ACTS 2027.1 Curriculum Tracks
Planned for March 15 to 25, 2027, in Cyprus, the Algorithm and Code Training Schools camp offers eleven days of intensive instruction. The program features three specialized tracks: Competitive Programming, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence, with competitive placements primarily derived from November contest results.
8Selective AI Track and IOAI Feeder
The ACTS AI track adopts an invitation-only model rather than open qualification. It convenes national teams from five countries alongside 20 Cyprus-based students competing for national team selection for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence, underscoring JetBrains' alignment with high-performance academic olympiad pipelines.
