Motorola Edge 70 Max specs and price comparison
We compared the most powerful Motorola Edge model with its competitors
1Motorola's new flagship
The Motorola Edge 70 Max stands out as the most powerful model in the series. With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and massive 7,100mAh battery capacity, it differentiates itself from other models. 90W wired and 25W magnetic wireless charging features elevate the user experience to premium levels.
2Display and durability
The 6.82-inch 1440p+ OLED display offers 144Hz refresh rate and 7,000 nits brightness. With aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass 7i protection and IP68/IP69 certifications, it has a robust build. However, the lack of microSD slot and headphone jack are noticeable drawbacks.
3Camera performance
It delivers mid-range photography experience with 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 32MP selfie camera. Despite the 1/1.56" sensor size and 4K/60fps video recording, better camera hardware could be expected considering the price point.
4Pricing and bundle
Positioned in the premium segment with starting prices of €800 in Europe and ₹55,000 in India. Some regions include free 90W charger and Moto Buds Loop earphones. However, the software update policy remains unclear and problematic.
5Comparison with rival models
The Edge 70 Pro offers a more affordable alternative with Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor and 3.5x telephoto camera. The Pro+ model is specifically designed for Indian market. Both models lack the magnetic wireless charging feature found in the Max.
6Final assessment
While the Edge 70 Max impresses with hardware specs, the software support and camera system shortcomings raise concerns. For long-term usage, the software update policy needs clarification and price/performance ratio requires improvement.
