These talks are seen as a glimmer of hope for conflict resolution despite recent increases in airstrikes. ## Trump's Statements At the NATO summit, Trump described Iran's attacks on commercial ships as 'acts of terror.' He stated that Iran does not comply with agreements, making it difficult to reach a deal. However, he added that Iran has made contact to negotiate. ## Iran's Claims Iranian officials alleged that the US violated 'Iranian regulations' in the Strait of Hormuz and reimposed oil sanctions. These claims further deepen the lack of trust between the two countries and complicate the resolution process. ## US Military Moves The US launched a new series of attacks against Iran in retaliation for assaults on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. These moves have further escalated tensions in the region and impacted oil prices. ## Effects on Oil Markets US sanctions and military actions against Iran caused fluctuations in oil markets.
