The design draws inspiration from space habitats, offering a comfortable living space for a family of six. Luxurious details like an indoor sauna are included in the compact layout. ## Built with Sustainable Materials EcoNeo is constructed using biogenic materials such as OSB panels, wood-fiber insulation, and oak. These materials have a low environmental impact and create a warm atmosphere. The design reduces carbon emissions by 80% compared to traditional summerhouses. ## Smart and Multi-Functional Design The interior is organized around a central living space, combining the kitchen, bathroom, storage, and a family dining table. The upstairs features a thoughtfully designed sleeping area. Every detail serves multiple functions, maximizing the use of space. ## The Terra-Tech Approach SAGA's 'Terra-Tech' approach blends technical precision with material awareness. The design focuses not just on aesthetics but also on user experience. Digital fabrication techniques ensure high accuracy in construction. ## Comfort and Sustainability EcoNeo proves that sustainable living doesn't mean sacrificing comfort. Warm timber surfaces, careful proportions, and a serene atmosphere make it an ideal summer retreat. The design encourages a more thoughtful consideration of needs. ## A Prototype for Future Housing EcoNeo has the potential to become a scalable template for sustainable housing. SAGA's experience with space habitats brings a unique perspective to the project. The design embodies the idea of learning the best ways to live on Earth from space. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/07/19/a-35m%c2%b2-summerhouse-designed-like-a-space-habitat/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=a-35m%25c2%25b2-summerhouse-designed-like-a-space-habitat — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
