1Architectural Vision

Villa Suki was designed as a harmonious composition of geometry, landscape, and light. Structured around a central void, the outward-looking residence reflects architect Alexis Dornier's vision to balance modern design with tropical surroundings.

2Geometric Design

The house features a perfect square plan rotated 45 degrees against the plot. This orientation creates triangular gardens on each side, offering privacy and shade while enabling controlled interaction with Bali's tropical climate through thoughtful angular placement.

3Spatial Organization

The 990 sqm villa develops around a central courtyard, optimizing natural ventilation and light penetration through transitional spaces. The architecture seamlessly integrates with surrounding landscapes, blurring indoor-outdoor boundaries.

4Material Selection

Wood and concrete serve as primary materials, combining modern aesthetics with local building traditions. Their natural textures enhance the structure's harmony with environment while providing contemporary visual appeal.

5Functional Details

Interiors by Riem Studio, landscaping by Bali Lanscape Company, and lighting by Studio Nimmersatt demonstrate multidisciplinary collaboration. This integrated approach ensured meticulous attention to every design aspect.

6Architectural Significance

Villa Suki stands as a notable example of contemporary tropical architecture. Successfully balancing form and function while incorporating sustainable principles, the project will contribute to Bali's architectural identity upon completion in 2025.
