The new MCU list hints at surprise characters in Doomsday.
1Marvel's Special List
Marvel Studios has revealed a list of must-watch movies before the December 2026 release of 'Avengers: Doomsday.' This list provides clues about unannounced characters and surprises. Notably, some films feature characters not yet confirmed for Doomsday, sparking fan theories.
2The X-Men Series and Its Significance
The list includes 2000's 'X-Men' and 2003's 'X2.' These films serve as an introduction to FOX's X-Men universe, with 'X2' considered one of the best in the series. Their inclusion fuels speculation about X-Men characters appearing in Doomsday.
3The Role of Avengers Films
2012's 'The Avengers' and 2018-2019's 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Endgame' are also on the list. These films contain pivotal moments in the MCU, such as Tony Stark's sacrifice in 'Endgame.' Their presence suggests they may form the foundation of Doomsday's storyline.
4Loki Series and the Multiverse
The only series on the list is 'Loki' Seasons 1-2, highlighting the importance of Disney+ shows in the MCU's grand narrative. Loki returns with god-like powers, and the multiverse concept could be central to Doomsday. Notably, Thor films are absent despite Thor's significant role in Doomsday.
5Shang-Chi and Spider-Man
2021's 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' are included. Shang-Chi will appear in Doomsday, but Spider-Man's role remains unclear. 'No Way Home's multiverse theme could connect to Doomsday, with rumors of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man making an appearance.
6Black Panther and Doctor Strange
2022's 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' and 'Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness' are on the list. Key members of the Wakanda team will appear in Doomsday, while Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch's roles remain a mystery. Some theories suggest they could be Doom's allies.
