The show features Stephen Graham as the serial killer Jurek Walter, hunted by Jonah Lynn, played by Liev Schreiber. FBI Agent Saga Bauer, portrayed by Zazie Beetz, assists in the investigation to resolve a dark mystery in Pennsylvania. ## Global Release Schedule The series premiered globally on Apple TV Plus on Friday, October 30, with a double-episode launch. The show consists of ten episodes released on a weekly basis. The finale is scheduled for December 25, following a consistent Friday release pattern that spans across the final quarter of the current calendar year. ## Platform Access Requirements Nocturne is an exclusive Apple TV Plus production and is not available on free streaming services. New subscribers can utilize a seven-day free trial to access the content. Users who have recently purchased an Apple device may be eligible for an extended trial period lasting up to three months for the service. ## Regional Content Restrictions Viewers traveling abroad may encounter regional restrictions that prevent access to their home Apple TV library. These digital barriers are based on IP address location. To bypass these limitations, users often employ VPN software, which masks the original IP address and allows the viewer to appear as if they are at home. ## VPN Utility for Streaming A Virtual Private Network acts as a bridge between the user and the streaming server, enabling access to geo-blocked content. By routing traffic through a server in the user's home country, the VPN ensures uninterrupted access to the show. This method is commonly used by international travelers to maintain their subscription service access. ## Subscription Cost Structure Following the initial trial period, the monthly subscription fee for Apple TV Plus is set at $14.99 in the United States. Pricing varies by region, with costs at £9.99 in the UK, CA$14.99 in Canada, and AU$15.99 in Australia. Users must maintain an active, paid subscription to continue watching the weekly episodes. ## Production and Cast Details The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as Rory Culkin, Bill Camp, Gary Carr, and Chrissy Metz. The production focuses on a dark, brooding narrative style typical of high-end crime thrillers. The series is distributed exclusively through Apple's digital ecosystem, emphasizing high-quality 4K and HDR visual standards for all ten episodes. ## Strategic Content Distribution The release strategy for Nocturne highlights the importance of exclusive original content in driving platform subscriptions. By utilizing a weekly release cadence, Apple TV aims to sustain viewer engagement throughout the ten-week period. This approach contrasts with binge-release models, fostering ongoing discussions and maintaining the show's visibility within the competitive streaming market. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.techradar.com/entertainment/tv-shows/how-to-watch-nocturne — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
