Dreame's new robot lawn mower features swing arm for precise edge cutting
The Dreame A4 AWD Pro Series, launching in 2027, promises perfect lawn edge trimming.
1Dreame's new robot lawn mower
Dreame unveiled its new A4 AWD Pro Series robot lawn mower at IFA 2024, set to launch in 2027. Featuring the EdgeMaster 4.0 Precision Edge-Trimming System, the mower stands out with its swing arm that extends the cutting disc. This system enables zero-centimeter precision edge cutting. Known for its robot vacuums, Dreame is making bold moves in the lawn care market with this innovative product.
2Revolution in edge trimming
The innovative swing arm design allows the mower to reach lawn edges perfectly. Traditional robot mowers often leave gaps near edges. Dreame's technology eliminates the need for additional manual trimming tools. The mower also maintains safe distances from walls, fences, and flower beds while delivering precise cuts.
3Adaptability to challenging terrain
The A4 AWD Pro Series can climb slopes up to 90% gradient (42 degrees) and navigate 4-inch deep and 6-inch wide holes. Its all-wheel-drive system ensures stable performance even on rough terrain. These features make it an ideal solution for large gardens with varied landscapes. The mower's robust design addresses common challenges in automated lawn care.
4Advanced navigation technologies
The mower utilizes 360-degree 3D LiDAR, satellite and network-based Omni RTK, plus AI-powered binocular vision for efficient navigation. These technologies help the mower avoid obstacles and optimize mowing patterns. Infrared sensors detect people and pets, enhancing safety. The system's learning capability improves performance over time as it becomes familiar with the garden layout.
5Pricing and launch details
Dreame plans to release the A4 AWD Pro Series globally in the first half of 2027. The base model is expected to cost approximately $3,500. Two variants will be available: one capable of mowing nearly 1 acre (about 4,000 sqm), and another handling up to 1.2 acres (5,000 sqm). Regional price variations are anticipated. The product represents Dreame's premium offering in robotic lawn care.
6Current models and discounts
Dreame's currently available LiDAR 3500 Robot Lawn Mower A3 AWD is on sale at Amazon for $2,399.99, discounted from its regular price of $2,999.99. This model also features all-wheel drive and LiDAR navigation. With the new model's upcoming release, further price drops on existing products may occur. The market is seeing increased competition in robotic lawn care solutions.
7Trends in robotic lawn mower market
The robotic lawn mower market has been growing rapidly in recent years. IFA 2024 showcased numerous new products in this category from various brands. Consumers' desire to save time on garden maintenance and growing interest in smart home technologies are driving market expansion. Entry of robot vacuum manufacturers like Dreame into this space is intensifying competition and innovation.
8The future of garden automation
Dreame's new technology elevates robotic lawn mowers' capabilities to the next level. The precision edge-cutting feature addresses one of the major limitations in current models. Launching in 2027, this product brings us closer to fully automated garden maintenance. As technology advances, we can expect to see even smarter and more autonomous garden robots in the future.
